Taskbar hiding and global taskbar?

Postby karlmorrison » 15.04.2013 17:17:07

Hello! Just like to say I'm a Linux user using Windows and this application is GOLD! (Only probs is that it's not as fast as my Linux Taskbar Switcher but that's another question :P).

Anyways, I was fiddling around with the settings and I manged to "hide" the taskbar on all windows. This is now a problem as I cannot get the taskbar back. I am trying to get into the Dexpot "Settings", but to do that i have to go through the taskbar, which isn't visable, evil circle so to say. So I'm sitting here wondering what to do lol.

Answer 1: I was able to figure out how to fix this, but it's not considered easy for people not used to command lines. I went to this post: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1914
I then started up the Windows command line, cd'd to the Dexpot directory then typed in "dexpot -k". I was able to get back my taskbars again. - You guys need to fix this to make it easier to get to the tray settings list for users.

My second question is, I would like my taskbar to be like on Linux. All the Windows share the same taskbar. So when I click on a program which is in another window, the screen quickly changes to that window. I have lots of programs up and I don't always remember what window they are located in!

Run "dexpot.exe -k" from the command line.

Settings > Switching Desktops > Desktop elements > Keep all taskbar buttons visible.

Figured out the first one when you wrote. This needs to be fixed imo for other easy going users!

And second PERFECT! This application is so wicked! Keep up the good work.
