Window menu behaves differently depending how it is launched

Postby arad85 » 12.03.2013 21:41:53

Hello all,

I am trying to configure my middle mouse button to show the dexpot Window menu when it is clicked in the taskbar. I can get this to work by adding a control in the Title bar of the window to display this when the middle button is pressed. I also have the checkbox enabled to Add Dexpot entries to the system menus of all windows.

As far as I can see, both menus are the same - that is, if I press right button on the task bar and navigate to Dexpot, I getthe same menu as I do if I press the middle button.

HOWEVER, if I select move (to an alternative desktop) from the dexpot menu of the system menu, the CURREMT window moves. If I select move (to an alternative desktop) from the Windows menu brought up from a middle click on the task bar ALL windows of that type move - that is, if I have 2/3/4 chrome windows open, all of them move. How do I get the same behaviour from both selections (I want the current window to move only)?

I am using 1.6.7 build 2249

Thanks

Andy

:dex:

What's your Windows version and how exactly do you get the window menu to show when you middle-click on the taskbar?

Win 7 SP1

To get the menu bar top appear on middle click:

Settings->Controls->Title bars and add a new mouse button that targets the active application...

If I change it to the active window it all works -> problem solved DOH!

I'd have spent days looking for that one - thanks.....
