3D Studio Max auotsave - program pops to current desktop

When I run 3D Studio Max, it has an autosave feature that is set for 5 minutes. So every 5 minutes when it saves, it pops onto my current desktop regardless of which one I am on. It interrupts whatever I'm doing and bumps me out of games (if I forget to minimize/end it first). This is the only program that does this, but it is also the only program I run that has an autosave feature.

I have set up a rule that says if the executable is 3dsmax.exe, move it to desktop 2 - but that does not help here.

Is there something else I can do to make this stop?

You could try the "Assign applications" feature. It may not prevent the activation, but it should move it back automatically.

You could also try a move exception for 3DS Max. Or why not just disable the 5-minute auto-save? Does it crash every 10 minutes?
