start menu will not hide

I'm new to Dexpot, and so far find it very useful and well designed. The one problem that I'm having is that I can't hide the Windows "Start" menu on any desktop view. My OS is 64-bit Vista SP1, fully patched.

Am I doing something wrong, or is a glitch?

Did a full uninstall, then re-installed from a fresh download, and I'm still having the same problem. Weird.
