When running Visual Studio 2012 (VS), if there I have a VS Solution open I cannot switch desktops. When I attempt to switch desktops using the keyboard (ALT + #), SevenDex, and/or the Taskbar Pager the desktop will initially switch, but then immediately jump back to the desktop on which VS is running. When VS initially runs (with no Solution or Project open) I can switch desktops. Once a Solution or Project is opened I can no longer switch desktops, even in I close the Solution/Project. I must exit VS 2010 entirely to be able to switch desktops.
VS 2010 10.0.40219.1 SP1REL
Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1
Dexpot 1.6.0, build 2116
This is a show stopper for me as I am a software developer for Intel. I have Visual Studio running all the time. Too bad because Dexpot is an otherwise excellent product.
Cheers.

Visual Studio 2012 and Dexpot
Re: Visual Studio 2012 and Dexpot

Based on the version number, I assume this is about VS 2010, not VS 2012?
Is the option "Keep all taskbar buttons visible" enabled (Settings > Switching Desktops > Taskbar)?
What is the option "Behavior of windows on other desktops" set to (Settings > Plugins and Extras)?

Re: Visual Studio 2012 and Dexpot
Thanks Patrick:
Yes, VS 2010, sorry. I was doing a VS 2012 Preview install while typing my earlier post.
Keep all taskbar buttons visible is not checked
When activating a window on another desktop is 'Do Nothing'
This actually appears to be related to the Taskbar Pager. If I turn that off I do not have this issue.
Thanks again.

Re: Visual Studio 2012 and Dexpot
I have this problem and I'm using VS 2012. It appears on all the desktops, even if I wish to appear only on one of them. And I have that option of 'Keep Alive Task bar Buttons' OFF.
Any idea?
Thanks.
