Desktop 2 remained after uninstaling dexpot

I'm havin problems after using dexpot, as i there seems to be two desktop folders on my computer, and my windows seem to read desktop 2 as the default one. anything i copy from "desktop 2" folder to "desktop" folder simply turns invisible. i tried deleting the folder, but my system then says it can't find the specified location.

can you help me get rid of the desktop 2? i'm running the latest version of dexpot available and windows 8 (basically same as win 7 )

Did you quit and uninstall Dexpot while you were on desktop 2? That's the only way I can think of this would happen.
To fix it, re-install Dexpot, enable "Customize desktop icons" and switch to desktop 1. You can then uninstall Dexpot again.

The same just happened to me. Maybe you can automatise this in the uninstallation process
