Hi
Sorry if this has been posted already - I did look, but cannot find it.
I'm using Dexpot with Dexgrid, and I'm having a problem all the time with an app stealing focus, not allowing me to switch desktop.
I'm not sure if it's limited to one app, but it certainly happens with Excel 2007 on Windows 7 *all the time*. I will use any method to switch desktop, and it will go to where I want to go for a split second, before returning back to the original desktop. I can't find any particular cause for this - even clicking outside the program, or selecting another program in the original desktop wont solve the issue. It seems unrelated to the other Excel issues people are having on the forum - I do not get those as I have forced all the instances to open in one window, and it still happens even if I'm just running one file/workbook. I keep on trying to switch 5-20+ times until it actually switches It is making Dexpot pretty unusable.
The other issue, far minor, is that sometimes (I think when coming out of a lock) maximised apps (esp office) will be shaded grey at the top, and unusable. I will have to unmaximise it, and maximise it again before it works.
Appreciate any advice,
Many thanks,
Byz

Pick one:
- The option "When activating a window on another desktop" is set to "Switch to the respective desktop" (Settings > Plugins and Extras)
- The option "Keep all Taskbar buttons visible" is enabled (Settings > Switching Desktops > Desktop elements)
- There is an application assigned to the desktop with the option "Switch to desktop when activated" enabled (Assign applications)

Got a screenshot?

Thanks for the quick reply!
I'll have a look at the settings tomorrow. I think I probably have both of the first two selected (although it seems strange that they would clash - I would have expected them to work well together!).
I'll try and get a screenshot too, although as it's on my work laptop, it might be difficult if I can't replicate the issue on call. It's the same effect as when a window is not responding.
Thanks again
