Hi. I'm on Windows 7 and I have this issue with IE8:
Whenever its windows are not minimized (restored or maximized) and I switch to another desktop, its windows 'follow' the switch, effectively copying the window to all those desktops I switch to.
I hope I explained myself correctly.
Thank you.
IE8 copying to every desktop on switching, if not minimized;
Re: IE8 copying to every desktop on switching, if not minimi

Are you running IE with administrator privileges?
Re: IE8 copying to every desktop on switching, if not minimi
Indeed. It's being launched by a development tool that *is* running with administrative privileges, and that same tool is exhibiting the same behaviour.
If I launch them both without admin privileges, then that behaviour goes away.
This is by design?
Or a limitation because of the way Windows works?
More importantly, Is there a way to eliminate that behaviour while running the apps with admin privileges?
Thank you.

I'm guessing UAC has something to do? Hmmm...
Re: IE8 copying to every desktop on switching, if not minimi
Having similiar problems with duplication that occured when I upgraded to 1.5.15 1799 yesterday. Have worked without a flaw before the upgrade.
With UAC off I run an application as another user account, if that has anything to do with it. I am member of admin but the account used for runas is regular user on my machine. As soon as I switch screen the window is incorrectly duplicated to the new screen, however the application now seems minimized on all screens and is impossible to show by clicking the window in taskbar (I think it opens/display on another screen that is not active?).
The only apperent way to display the window is by shift-clicking in taskbar and selecting maximize. If select the window in taskbar and use win7 functions to tile window to right/left (windows + cursor right/left) the window is somewhat displayed by moved partly outside the main monitor it was opened in or it is even opened on my secondary monitor! (positioned totally incorrectly within both monitors)
If I only had saved the older version I was running but I have been using the built-in upgrade feature for quite some time.. Can not use product in this shape, I am going to try the beta 1.6.

Indeed. See [FAQ] Some windows appearing on all desktops on Vista/7

Only by running Dexpot as admin as well.

Thank you very much Patrick.
I indeed read the FAQ before posting, but the detail of my processes running with admin privileges was out of my mind at the time.
