Well, this is the only excel app I run daily. I run some other apps that use forms that do not have the problem.
It's very random. Can survive 500 desktop switches, and sometimes locks up after only a few.
I can't really debug this as there's nothing to see. Just wont go active when clicked, but still functions perfectly (displaying data)
There was another user that claimed to have the same issue.
Excel loses focus after desktop switches
Re: Excel loses focus after desktop switches
Still a problem, and a very annoying one. I have to use the windows menu to 'close' the Excel app.
No other app has this problem of focus. And its quite random, but happens often.

Re: Excel loses focus after desktop switches
I suspect it might have something to do with high cpu activity. During the day Im getting realtime market data and processing it. This problem seems to be related to switching desktops while excel (and /or the other apps) are quite busy.
Does this sound possible, and is there something that can be done?

Re: Excel loses focus after desktop switches
Kind of disappointing there doesnt seem to be any interest in fixing this.
Also see a very random loss of Quotetracker windows from time to time. The simply dont get restored, and reappear when QT is restarted.

Re: Excel loses focus after desktop switches
Yes, I did that long ago.
Seems to be an issue where the window gets restored but stops responding to the mouse to regain focus. Everything else works, updating data, etc.
This happens every day, so its not some rare event. The move setting seems to fix windows that appear on the wrong desktop , but is not having an effect on this problem.
[Exe]
ObjectBar.exe=sticky
excel.exe=move
winamp.exe=move
stocks.exe=move

Re: Excel loses focus after desktop switches
Still afflicted with this issue. Using 1.6 beta.
Can't we find a way to trace the source of the problem.
These userforms have embedded activex charts/spreadsheets, could that be part of the problem.

send us the *.xls file if there's any chance of running the VBA without a data source?

Re: Excel loses focus after desktop switches
Thats a problem , this is a fairly complex app and it wont run at all without a live data feed .
I'll see if I can rig some simple version up that can be run at your end
