icon changing their desktop

What is so difficult in managing the icons' position, that there is no multi-desktop manager I know that really gets it right? I have tried all those Deskspaces and so on (and now Dexpot) and it finally always comes to this - after carefuly placing icons and folders to different desktops it works for some time, and suddenly after the reboot or something I have all this mess on Desktop no 1 again...

It worked this way under 32-bit XP, now 64-bit 7 Ultimate and the latest Dexpot version. Is this a known bug or I am just terribly unlucky???

I found that it helps to preserve icon layout by UN-checking the Setup box "save profile on exit" and to take a profile snapshot whenever I change icon layouts. Restoring a profile usually fixes messed up icon layouts. The stability of icon layout ought to be significantly improved in the next version of Dexpot.

I am also having problem with my Windows 7 Home Edition using the lastest version of Dexpot.

The icons will suddenly rearrange themselves again after loading up the profiles, which supposed to have the icon rearranged. Also switching between desktop seems to cause the icons in that desktop to place randomly when switch back.

Just to followup my above post, if i place any new files on to the desktop, it will casue the desktop icon to go messy

i've same problem here. icons moving places from i left... actually on second desktop icons stand still but they can seen on first desktop too(where i moved them from). it's annoying.
