I have the following setup:
1. Windows XP SP2
2. Dexpot v1.5.1 b1109
3. Keepass v1.18 (http://www.keepass.info)
I usually start Keepass from the first screen in Dexpot and then minimize it to the taskbar. Later, when I attempt to bring up Keepass from the taskbar, the following happens IF I am on a different Dexpot screen:
1. The main window for Keepass comes up.
2. The password request window for Keepass comes up.
3. The main window for Keepass disappears!
4. After entering the password, Keepass appears to be up except that it's invisible.
If I attempt to use Keepass from the first screen, everything is normal (ie. it doesn't disappear). This used to work fine and (I think) started having a problem when I upgraded to Dexpot v1.5.1.
Anyone know what's going on?
Dexpot & Keepass compatibility?
Re: Dexpot & Keepass compatibility?

Which option do you have selected in the Dexpot settings under Plugins and Extras as "behavior of windows on other desktops"?
Also, please update to the newest version, Dexpot 1.5.7.
Re: Dexpot & Keepass compatibility?
That's the problem!
I had "behavior of windows on other desktops" set to "Do nothing", so Keepass was staying on the original desktop (but it wasn't showing there either -- what would happen in this case?). When I changed to "move window to current desktop", everything began working again. I think I changed that setting recently, but I don't remember why.
I'll investigate upgrading to Dexpot v1.5.7, but why doesn't "Check for updates" on startup tell me that there is a newer version?

Re: Dexpot & Keepass compatibility?
The fact that the window completely disappears with the "Do nothing" option is a bug, which will be fixed in the next version. The fact that it is considered a cross-desktop activation by Dexpot at all, even though the KeePass window is not visible on another desktop, is caused by a rather unusual behavior of KeePass.
The updater that came with 1.5.1 doesn't work on certain systems. You may have to download the regular setup and install it on top of the old version.
