desktop manager drag and drop has stopped working [solved]

The desktop manager drag and drop has stopped working.
I get a black circle with a bar through it when trying to drop any object onto it.

Any ideas?

Never mind. I had to uninstall Dexpot - it just constantly crashed.

After I rebooted. 'App crash' error randomly whilst running it.
Both the main executable and the cube plugin were crashing separately.
Plus, rebooting didn't solve the drag and drop issue either.

Having just looked at the alternatives again though, I will give Dexpot another go
as it does actually seem the best solution. I've reinstalled it and everything seems
ok again, but I'm nervous about using it in case I put important things on a desktop
and then can't recover them after a crash.
