I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and I just found Dexpot tonight.
The main reason it came up in my search was the ability to customize icons on each desktop.
I installed it, rebooted, and enabled "Customized desktop icons".
But all 4 desktops contain the same icons, any changes made effect all the desktops.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny

Re: Customize Icons - Windows 7 x64
,what happens if you delete the icons on Desktops 2-4 via 'Desktop Windows/Icons/Delete'?
Best regards

Re: Customize Icons - Windows 7 x64
I got it, on a hunch I uninstalled Stardock Fences and that fixed it.
Would have been a nice combo, but replacing some of the groups with a seperate desktop will do the job nicely. Probably better
Is there a way I can retrieve the active desktop via autoit or autohotkey.
Maybe an api, or somply a switch on the dexpot exe?
I want to keep my background but I'd like to write a script to actually display the text name of the active desktop over it.
***EDIT***
I found the option but when I set it to "Desktop Background" I can't see it.
I assume it's ending up below my background.
***EDIT-EDIT***
Looks like StarDock DeskScapes is causing that. Geeze I can't win with StarDock lol
Thanks again,
Kenny

yeah, cool looking stuff but seems to cause issues way too often.
Oh well worth the sacrifice
