Right Click to Close Windows Problem

Postby MCHAL » 22.05.2009 20:24:31

Hi there:

Thanks you all for your developing efforts.

Your program is really cool, but the "problem" with the command to close windows by a right click (together with a function key or not) on their title bars never seems to work, no matter what (beta) version comes out - the problem always persists. Tried everything over here to make it work, even deactivated a few configuration options of other programs' set of functionalities, to no avail... I would appreciate it very much if it could effectively close windows this way, just like Pitaschio (http://pitaschio.ara3.net/download.htm). So please, consider giving some attention to solving this "problem" for a future version.

Again, thanks in advance for your attention.

Best regards.

Hi. :dex:

Actually, it works as intended. 'Close' means 'close only on this desktop'. So the close command only has an effect on windows which are visible on more than one desktop. The classical 'Close' already has the X in the top right corner as a shortcut.

While it's not a bug, I still agree that it might be handy to have 'close on all desktops' as a title bar action. Let's call it a feature request...

Hi, Patrick:

Can't wait the new implementation! I'll help spread the word about your cool program whenever possible!

Hi,

Sorry for coming back to post about this "issue". Problem is this feature still does NOT work (Dexpot v.1.5.11 Build 1648) - nonetheless, I still love Germany  . I used to use Pitaschio (http://pitaschio.ara3.net/download.htm) for this, but it's unstable and incompatible with Windows 7.

Regards.

:dex:,

actually, it's been implemented, but never merged from trunk to branch.
Will be part of Dexpot 1.5.13.
Best regards (wave)

Hi, Buddy:

I STILL love Germany :D , but closing the active window through a mouse right-click STILL not working on the latest version of Dexpot (1.5.0.17), at least not on Win7-32/64 (up to date).

Kind regards.

Have you changed the title bar action from "Close window" to "Close window (all desktops)"?

Hi, Patrick:

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Yes, I've just done as suggested, but, unfortunately, still not working.

Thanks.
