Custom desktop icons (Windows 98SE)

Hi,

Need help.

I am trying to re-organize my desktop icons ( many !) in to four desktops. I am saving the complete profile after allocating the icons into corresponding desktops. However, when I restart Windows, all the icons keep showing up on the first desktop (and the other three desktops have no icons). The problem persists even after I load the saved profile.

My configuration :
* The Dexpot setting “Customize desktop icons” is ON (checked).
* Dexpot version 1.3
* Windows 98 SE

Am I missing something ?. I have seen other postings on the same topic, but it appears that the platform in each of those cases was Windows XP. I am wondering whether this issue is specific to Windows 98 ?.

Hi Amit,

which profile are you saving the changes in? In case you use the standard or default profile, please save it under a different name (e.g. "Amit) and try again ... that's be my first guess

Yes, I did save the profile under a different name. ( not the default one). The problem persists.
