no auto-hide of one desktop?

Hey-

So here's what I want:

I basically do two tasks regularly, working with windows normally, and also viewing video. When I'm viewing video, I always 1. Hide desktop icons and 2. Auto-hide the taskbar. When I'm doing normal tasks, I have the desktop displayed normally.

I was hoping that Dexpot would let me save two profiles so that I could switch from one to the other, with the above being the only differences. But at the moment, it can't do this.

I have D1 set 'normally', so that's fine.

But on D2, the Hide Desktop Icons in the Configure Desktops (CD) works great.

But hide taskbar doesn't. When I use CD to hide the taskbar, it's hidden, -BUT THERE'S NO WAY FOR ME TO RECALL IT-. I -do- still need to access it to switch windows, etc. And if I use Windows to Autohide the taskbar, this then affects -both- of my desktops. No win.

My suggestion: Create a feature in CD to 'recall' the taskbar (TB) temporarily, or create taskbar behaviour like Windows- so that when I mouse over the bottom of the screen, TB reappears (please include an -adjustable- time delay!).

OR allow separate settings for D1 and D2, so that if I set Window's 'AutoHide' the TB function, it ONLY affects D2, not D1. (extra credit with this option (which I don't think is possible)- allow seperate programs to run minimized on the seperate desktops, because I have a special app which delays the time I have to be 'mouse-overed' the taskbar before it shows.)

I'm running Win7 Pro, 64bit on a Dell laptop.
