Dexpot system tray container freezes Windows

In general I am content with Dexpot. However, every once in a while it crashes in such a way that Windows almost completely freezes so I have to restart it completely, which includes automatically closing programs without autosave. This is extremely frustrating.
I don't know what happens exactly, but it seems to have to do with the system tray container. Sometimes when I click the app in the container with my right mouse button or when I click it twice, Windows freezes almost completely. I can still start up programs and Task manager, but cant I close anything because programs immediately freeze. The Windows 'mainframe' seems to be OK because I can still switch user and log out but furtermore I cant seem to do anything.
What should I do?
