I read in the forum that if I install the private use version of Dexpot using the /NOCANDY option that no malware will be installed on my machine.
The post was old so I want to confirm this is still the case with the newer version 1.6.14-2439 version of Dexpot.
Also is this the correct command line syntax to use for the nocandy installation from a CMD prompt:
dexpot_1614_r2439.exe /NOCANDY
NOCANDY option
Re: NOCANDY option

that's incorrect. In any case, no malware is installed.
Yes. This corresponds to the info on our website, which is kept up-to-date. Mind OpenCandy has now been removed.

Re: NOCANDY option
Hi,
I was looking into starting to use Dexpot and to evaluate it before purchasing it.
I have seen the comments about the OpenCandy being removed from it as of this year. What I can't wrap my head around is the fact that the installer is from 2014.
Wouldn't we need to have an updated installer that wont install OpenCandy? Thanks

it isn't. The installer has received an update. See its file size, version info, check sum, etc.
OpenCandy has never been "installed" as it's not an application (just displayed an ad for other software products during the installation process).

Re: NOCANDY option
My apologies about the misunderstanding. Your product seems to be really great - from the Youtube tutorials I've seen.
I'm annoyed my company's antivirus is flagging it as malicious and it wont let me install it on my work computer but I will on my home computer and for 27 dollars is a steal.

please provide the anti-virus software product name and version (just send a short email if you don't want to post the info here). Also, specify the threat's name.
We'll forward the info to the vendor. Usually, the false positive will be removed within 24 hours. Thank you for your help.
