Hello,
I'm using dexpot on my stationary workstation. It works fine.
But I'm used to connect from my laptop with remote desktop to my workstation in order to get advantage of its power.
Since I have installed dexpot, it's not usable.
If dexpot is already started, the connection succeed but afterwards nothing is operationnal. Windows are stuck, no application is answering and even after deconnecting from the laptop, the session on the workstation remains in a freeze state. The CTRL/alt/Suppr gives a view of the process manager but it is not usable and I can't even kill dexpot. (exiting the session is the only way to not reboot)
If dexpot is not started, everything works as usual.
If I connect to the workstation with dexpot not started and then start dexpot, it works fine, with access to the different desktops.
If I then disconnect from the laptop and try to regain control of the session on the workstation : Again everything is freezed, ...
Both computers, laptop and workstation running windows 10
Any idea ?
Regards
Gilles

Yes, I'm using the built-in Microsoft remote desktop tool.
I'm launching the mstc.exe client on the laptop towards the Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server on the workstation.
Many thanks for helping

I've now tried that with two Windows 10 machines, they run just fine. Is there any setting for the remote desktop application I need to consider?
Try disabling 'Settings > Appearance > Add Dexpot entries to the system menu of all windows'.
Then, also try enabling 'Settings > Plugins and Extras > Advanced > Keep Foreground Lock Timeout'.
Restart Dexpot and your host afterwards.
