multiple active desktops

I have 2 monitors, one a 32 inch led tv, the other a 24 inch monitor. I want to divide the big monitor into 4 desktops that I can view at the same time all the time. Applications maximized should be maximized only to its own desktop and not the entire screen. If I select full screen preview and try to maximize an app, all other desktops close and the app fills the entire screen.
Is it possible to have multiple active desktops at one time?

Hi,

This software is good however even i am looking for some option like that in which i utilize my 50" TV screen to have 6 different monitors showing all together at the sametime. So that i can keep monitoring them and find errors.

Somehow i managed to do RDP to all my virtual / headless computers but had to change the display settings in mstsc.exe so that more than one remote session fits on the TV screen which doesn't fullfill my requirement. I will be really thankful if someone guides me to some solution around it.

If you only want to monitor multiple desktops at once, but not interact with applications on or more than one desktop simultaneously, Dexpot's "Full-screen preview" feature might be what you're looking for.
