Dexpot deleted all my user icons

Dexpot deleted all my user icons after switching customized desktop icons on and off...
I tried to find a way to have clean desktops on each virtual desktop.

I had very important files there.
Can I restore them??

Some more info,

this problem appeared, after I switched on customize desktop icons. then changed to desktop 2 to check, saw the public icons that I don't want and switched the customize desktop icons, off... and I can see only the public icons on my primary desktop or any other desktop.

I searched in my user/desktop folder and files are there.... how to restore it to be again the main folder?

Solved,

I had to re enable the option, go to first desktop, and then disable it again..
that was scary...
