Hi there, I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out if an issue I am experiencing is a user error or a bug. What I am trying to do is keep certain programs on certain screens. I am using 2 monitors and have things setup to work on a single monitor. My goal is to always see a 4 desktop preview unless I am using a particular app on a particular desktop.

The issue I am having is, as soon as I have certain applications on certain screens the applications move instead of staying on the desktop I originally placed them. various settings and rules but I cant seem to get the behavior I want down. I am using windows 8 home x64. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Can you please give a more detailed example of the behavior you're seeing? And is a "screen" the same thing as a "desktop"?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. The problem seems to only occur when I use the full screen preview function. What happens is this...

I'll have a full screen preview of 4 desktops on monitor 2. When I click on one of the desktop from the previews the application on that desktop disappears and moves to the I think the previously used desktop. If anything I'll record a short screen capture video showing the behavior if what I'm saying doesn't make sense.

Here is the log details when the behavior occurs using just 2 applications. Hopefully its just a setting error on my part.

Thanks. The problem is indeed visible in the log. I can't reproduce it here on Windows 7, but I'll look into it further.

You appear to have the option "Settings > Components > Full-screen > Use interactive Full-screen preview and Window catalog" disabled. Is that correct? Does the problem still occur with the option turned on?

Hi Patrick, again thanks for the quick response. Actually when I tested enabling "Settings > Components > Full-screen > Use interactive Full-screen preview and Window catalog" the problem behavior does not occur, however what does happen is that the taskbar on my other monitor will disappear 9 out of 10 times while in full preview. I am not sure why it doesn't disappear 100% of the time thought.

Right, that's a problem when you want to leave the preview visible permanently on one monitor. I'll let you know when either issue is fixed...

Thanks Patrick, well I do have a work around sort of. If I click the full screen preview icon once or twice when the monitors taskbar is missing it seems to reappear. Not a huge issue for me since it takes a extra second or 2 to get it to stick. Great app btw, glad to have things working since I was bummed out having tried to get things working the past few hours.

The first problem with apps moving to the wrong desktop should be fixed in the new version 1.6.9.
