Kind of tricky to describe, but the last TWO versions (starting with 2249) seem to have an annoying problem. Prior versions do NOT do this.
I have a program, Quotetracker, on desk 1, which on occasion produces a popup window. Normally it does not appear , interfere or show if I'm on another Desktop.
Since the most recent versions, Quotetrackers popup does not appear BUT, it causes the topmost window on the current desktop to CHANGE. So if Im working on Excel on Desktop 2, that popup from desktop 1 is causing Firefox (which is open under Excel on Desk2) to pop up over the Excel app on desktop 2 . It also causes different instances of Firefox to switch places on the same desktop.
So there is some kind of interaction that should not be happening .
I have the 'when activating windows on another dektop ' set to DO NOTHING, as always.
No idea what's happening here, but its a problem.
Popup on one screen forces change of focus on another

Does this always involve Firefox in some way?

No, affects other programs as well , but Im pretty sure , (but not 100%) that its the quotetracker popups that cause the issue.
Since I only started seeing the problem 2 versions ago, I'm thinking some change that was made caused this.
I have a rule forcing quotetracker to desktop 1, ill deactivate it and see if that helps.

If it still happens, please enable the Dexpot log file, reproduce the issue and then send me the log.

Just a follow up, I'm not sure what fixed it, but I toggled ignore subordinate and invisible windows ON for quotetracker and that MAY have done it.

Re: Popup on one screen forces change of focus on another
Hi there,
Having the same issue with FireFox (FF) with the following scenario:
- I have a Window Assignment rule for FF to be in Desktop 2.
- The main FF window is open in Desktop 2, another in Desktop 1.
- When I click a link on the window on Desktop 1 to download a file, thus prompting a popup window to let me choose where to download it, the whole think (the FF window + the popup one) jump back to Desktop 2.
When looking in the logs, it seems to correspond to the following logged event:
Note that I had the same exact configuration of Dexpot on a Windows 8.1 machine where this behaviour was not observed.
Could someone help me figure that out?
