new windows open on all desktops

Whenever I open a new application or window, like IE or windows explorer, it automatically copies itself to every desktop. I then have to manually remove it from each desktop except the one it's supposed to be on. Is this the expected behavior? I did not see a configuration option to configure this behavior. After a little research on the forums, I verified Dexpot is set to run as administrator, but this had no effect. I really like this application and hope this issue can be resolved.

Do you have any "Application Assignments" or "Desktop Rules"? Does this happen with every application or only certain ones like IE and Explorer?

It happens will all applications. I one desktop assignment and one application rule. Both apply to microsoft communicator to allow my instant messages to be accessible on all desktops all times. I also use Ultramon to help manage my three monitors. I closed Ultramon to see if there was a conflict, but it did not change anything.

What exactly are the conditions and actions of that rule?

Ah, I had the type field in the condition set incorrectly. I pointed it to the correct window class, and now everything works normally. Sorry for the confusion.
