Problem:
Once I start Dexpot, when I try to shutdown, Windows stalls when it reaches the point of shutting down. The Win Shutdown page remains on the screen and disk activity stops except for an occasional flicker. I have to force it down (by holding down the power button). If I try to put my laptop into Sleep mode, after I start Dexpot, it fails and eventually reboots.
Has anyone else seen anything similar? Is there a log (in Windows) that can tell me if it is waiting for something?

Background:
I am generally happy with Dexpot and it works well for me. I've been using it for about 18 months. I am currently using Dexpot 1.6.3. I have an ASUS laptop running Win7 64 bit Home Premium.
I haven't done extensive testing (yet) but both shutdown and standby seem to work ok if I don't start Dexpot at all. In some cases, I believe that Shutdown worked OK when I stopped Dexpot first but I can't say that this works consistently. Obviously, if I am temporarily shutting the machine down using Sleep, I don't want to shut Dexpot down first and put everything onto one window if I can avoid it.
This probably started about 6 months ago. Prior to that, shutdown and standby both worked ok. I intially thought that it was a Win 7 problem. It was trial and error that led me to the conclusion that Dexpot is involved somehow.
Problem with Win7 Shutdown and Sleep
Re: Problem with Win7 Shutdown and Sleep

No, I don't think I've heard anything like that before. I also have no idea how Dexpot is supposed to have such an effect. When you get to the Windows "Shutting down..." screen, all applications, including Dexpot, have already terminated.
You mentioned that the problem started 6 months ago. Any idea what might have changed around that time? Maybe a driver issue?
