Copying Settings From A Profile To A New One

Greetings!

I'm very sure this issue has been mentioned on this forum dozens of times, but my key search terms "copy settings" and transfer settings" and "start new profile with another's settings" just isn't hitting the solution reply I'm looking for. I just want to open a new profile that uses another's settings. I tried saving a new profile on exit and tried to apply desktop rules to no avail. One option I do have is "save As" my ideal profile as a different one, but I don't know how to clear all the desktops on that profile to start afresh (without wiping the ideal settings too). Any hint to this stupid one would help!

As a side note, is there any future consideration to do Dexpot in Linux (Mint)?

Thanks!

:dex:,

if you save a profile, you copy your current settings to a file. This file remains unchanged until you save again or quit Dexpot while having "Save profile on exit" enabled.

Save your current settings to a profile (e.g. "Profile 1"), then apply the changes for the new profile and save again using 'Save as...' (e.g. "Profile 2"). Either switch between the profiles by loading them via the Settings dialog, activating "Show list of profiles on startup" or double-clicking a *.dxp file.

No. Still so many Windows users left who need to be convinced of the virtual desktop concept. Also, still waiting for Microsoft to acquire our company. :scheinheilig:
