For some reason, dexpot forces the active window to randomly lose focus. Is there any way to prevent this?

Do you mean during desktop switching? When you return to a desktop, the window that was active there before is no longer focused?

I don't. I mean at any given time, there is a chance that the window I am using will just lose focus. No other window appears on top of it. I know that it is dexpot causing the problem because the problem stopped after uninstalling dexpot.

Please try this version. Save the attached file to your Dexpot installation folder, replacing the original dexpot.exe:


If the problem still occurs, enable the Dexpot log file, restart Dexpot, reproduce the problem and send me the log, indicating the time when the active window lost focus.

That actually solved the problem, thank you very much Dexpot is one of my favorite pieces of software, I really appreciate the effort.

With the latest version, this problem has returned. Unfortunately I have to stick with the older version until then.

Yes, I'm aware of that. Unfortunately I couldn't make the "fix" permanent, as it can interfere with other features. It will probably be turned into an option in a future version.

Alright, I'm just posting to ask if this option was implemented in the latest version. If it hasn't, I'm cool just using the old version.

The option is now available in Dexpot 1.6.5: Settings > Plugins and Extras > Debugging > Advanced > [x] Keep Foreground Lock Timeout
