AVG reports dexpot.exe as a trojan

Just last night I accepted the automatic update - didn't catch the version, but should be the latest. On reboot and logging in, AVG reports C:\Program Files (X86)\dexpot\dexpot.exe as a trojan (BackDoor.Hupigon5.CBQN). The worst part is that my desktop then freezes - I can't tell AVG to ignore the "threat", quarantine it, or anything. I'm left logging in as Administrator and uninstalling Dexpot.
Running:
Windows 7 Ultimate, latest patches
AVG Free Edition 2012, 2012.0.1901 (Virus database version 2109/4766)

It's a false positive. We have already reported the problem to AVG.
You can use a service like
VirusTotal to verify that the file is indeed clean.

I was updating my installation and AVG caught this file as well. I downloaded a fresh copy of Dexpot, installed it, and now Windows 7 cannot locate dexpot.exe. So I can't get the program started.
Should I uninstall AVG, and then try to re-install Dexpot?
And if I do, will I be able to recall all of my settings?

Run an AVG update. According to
VirSCAN, the problem is fixed with the latest virus signature definitions. Then re-install Dexpot. If you re-install over the broken installation without uninstalling first, you won't lose your settings.

I updated AVG and Dexpot installed. When I clicked "finish" with "Run Dexpot" checked off, I got the Windows 7 spinning disc, and then nothing happened.
I rebooted, found Dexpot in the program list, clicked it, and got the splash screen. The Win7 disc kept spinning and spinning. I shut the program down after 10 minutes.
I reinstalled (I did not uninstall) and the same thing happened again.
I have a feeling I need to uninstall Dexpot totally and start from scratch with a clean install. If that is the case, does the uninstall program leave any files behind that I should delete? Are there configuration files that I can copy to another directory and then copy into the fresh Dexpot installation folders?

Somehow, Dexpot started working again after an install and rebooting, but I can't get it to start with Windows. "Start with Windows" is checked in the settings. I can't see anything related to Dexpot when I go into MSCONFIG.
At least I have this functionality back!
Can't wait til I get my new computer in a few months!

Uncheck "Start with Windows", click "Apply", re-enable the option and click "OK".
