window catalogue - "black firefox problem"

hi guys

i have this problem for awhile, it really is an annoying problem, and in fact, made me NOT use the window catalogue function because of it, but now with the mouseEvents plugin it becomes very useful

the thing is, whenever i have firefox on the window catalogue gets all glitchy, the background doesn't show up and the content of firefox thumbnail isn't there (black screen), but the biggest problem is how glitchy it becomes, lest say i have 10 different windows, if firefox is one of them, most of the time the other 9 don't show up in the window catalogue BUT they are actually there, i have to rollover their thumbnail and they show, so it's kinda like a hide and seek game

do you have this problem, or its just me, i recently formatted my pc and the problem persists, even if both settings for it are turned off, is there anything i can do? maybe some firefox configuration i can change?

ok this is going to sound stupid but i actually found out the problem myself... after posting this here i started connecting some dots and had an idea for what it could be the problem, it turns out i was right and i found a solution, even if partial

this glitch happens because of the hardware acceleration feature of firefox, if i turn it off and let the software render of firefox do the job the problems go away

on the other hand this opens some other questions about this dexpot feature...

other similar programs that simulate the expose feature of MAC on PC actually have the same problem, but not ALL of them do, so there IS a possible solution from the dexpot side of things

also, running other applications that use hardware acceleration, like games, do cause the content of the window thumbnail to go black but they don't cause the other glitchs like the sticky background and hidden thumbnails

i would love to solve this on the dexpot side because i did some tests and firefox does renders slower using just the software render

i hope someone out there could at least take a look into it

This is on Windows XP, I presume?

It's probably not a very practical solution, but you could upgrade to Windows 7. If available, the Window Catalog uses Aero for live window previews, which eliminates problems like this.
