Yes, I hated that when I was trying to switch desktops, after the first turn (for instance from Desktop 1 to Desktop 2 it was OK, but when trying to continue the "circle" from Desktop 2 to Destop 3, the cube was freezing). Finally I've tried Otaku Deskspace, which is going well on my Windows 7 64, although I've liked the interface and the enhancements of Dexpot more.
I guess that this is the main reason your software is free, because it's buggy, I guess that after you will solve all those issues it will not be free anymore, am I right?:) That's OK, I will probably buy it, but at that moment I would really expect to work flawlessly. Untill then I will give my money to Otaku.

No, I think you've got me all wrong, the intention of this post was not advertising, and I really appreciate open source project efforts, I am an Ubuntu user as well. It's just that sometimes I don't know who I should blame for all the things that are not working the way they are designed to work or the way they should do: Microsoft Windows or the software developers.
Anyway, thank you for your declarative intention to help and good luck on your projects!

I am having the exact same issue; I would be willing to help you track it down if you wish. Let me explain more clearly what happens.....
When using the keyboard to toggle between the desktops, when going just one hop you are fine, when going more than one hop it freezes but when you let go of the key combo you find that the desktop did in fact switch. For me it’s intermittent but very often, maybe 3/4's of the time. The system doesn't crash but just freeze until you let go of the keys that you use to switch between desktops, also to note if you use the sevendex plug in to switch it does not cause this issue(my guess is that you are only hopping one desktop at a time).
I have a new Dell OptiPlex 780 with an Nvidia Geforce GT220 with 1 gig of vid ram (using both monitors), 8 gigs of ram, Windows 7 64 bit. The drivers are as new as 1 month ago but I will check again. I noticed that there is an option to turn on a log file, but I will wait for specific instructions as to what you wish me to do.

Re: Dexcube animation freezes
I had the exact same problem with dexcube freezing after moving 1 or 2 times but seem to have solved te problem.
In the dexpot settings (not for dexcube, actually dexpot itself) under general, I changed the process priority from Low (the default) to Realtime.
Ever since making this change I have had no issues with the animation freezing.

Had the same problem, but realtime doesn't help in my case.
My way to avoid the problem: When you start your computer and Windows, activate every Desktop by toggling on it before you start "any" programme. Then it should work fluently.
Btw: Is there a setting for Dexpot which activates all Destops automatically when Windows is started?

And if that doesn't help, try using a display cable with gold plated connectors and extra shielding.

No, but you could probably come up with a batch file or some other script to switch the desktops and run it using Dexpot's desktop start-up feature.
