Whenever the desktop is in focus, if I hit the Mouse 4 or Mouse 5 buttons (ie side buttons on the mouse), it causes the desktop to switch.
I have searched through the settings to try to disable it, but I cannot find where to disable it.
Any help would be appreciated.
"Mouse 4" and "Mouse 5" buttons switch desktops
Re: "Mouse 4" and "Mouse 5" buttons switch desktops
At the moment, this feature can only be disabled through the registry (or portable.ini): Exit Dexpot, open the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dexpot, find the value SeitentastenWechsel, set it to 0, restart Dexpot.

shiarua,
Just so you know: some of us use those buttons a lot -- to switch back and forth between desktops, web pages, files and directories. I get quite frustrated when I'm on a computer without a 5-button mouse!

Re: "Mouse 4" and "Mouse 5" buttons switch desktops
I changed the registry setting, but upon restarting Dexpot, it changed the key back to "1".
Re: "Mouse 4" and "Mouse 5" buttons switch desktops
Strange. Are you sure you closed Dexpot before making the change?
Re: "Mouse 4" and "Mouse 5" buttons switch desktops
Ah, I didnt close it before I made the registry change. Thanks, the registry change worked!
Re: "Mouse 4" and "Mouse 5" buttons switch desktops
The registry edit worked fine, thanks for that!
However, are there any news on adding a settings option? It's really annoying for some of us who use mouse 4 and 5 for some other important features (I have voice talk on mouse5), and since it's just one registry value, I don't see why there's not just a simple checkbox to disable this in the application's settings.

Mahi
