Background is updating on wrong desktop

Hi all, just downloaded Dexpot and love this idea - its how windows should be!
Unfortunaltey i have a problem with a background update as follows:
I am using a program called 'Johns Background Switcher' that produces a photo slideshow on the desktop background.
I have set desktop 1 to recieve this, the other 2 desktops that i have set up are set to static background images that i do not want to change
However, the curent desktop i am on is the one that is always updated with the photo slideshow (this could be desktop 2 or 3), even though i have set these to static images in the desktop configurations.
Is there anyway my desktop 2 and 3 can be forced to be static and not change at all?
Regards, J

,
John's background switcher disregards virtual desktops (how could he if he didn't write a plugin for Dexpot), so there's currently no way to get around this behaviour.

Hi Sebastian, thanks for the reply.
I have noticed that in 'Johns Background Switchers / options', there is the option to specify a program to run along with switches after the new backgroun of images has been drawn.
Is it possible to provide Dexpot command line switches that could be used to perform a refresh of the current settings and therefore (hopefully) restore the backgrounds after JBS has run?

,
the app (because nowadays everything is called 'app'; remember: 'there's an app for that?') will switch to its wallpaper, then Dexpot overwrites the wallpaper again? Na, that's not a solution.

Agreed. It makes a lot more sense the other way around: Add a /pause option to JBS that temporarily disables wallpaper switching and then call it using the
Start-up settings in
Configure Desktops.
Ugly workaround: Setting up backgroundswitcher.exe to run on
every entry of desktop 1 and close on
next exit.

And everybody writing an app is called a dev?

Ugly workaround
indeed.
And everybody writing an app is called a dev?
Nope. There's too little p.

Guys, is there a shortcut / keystroke that can do a refresh of the current desktop?
At present I have to change to another desktop, then change back to do a refresh
Perhaps this kind of function would be useful (if not already available)?
This was the kind of switch i was looking for...

that won't solve your issue.
Follow Patrick's instructions above.
