Desktop switching speed

Hello,

I'm evaluating dexpot, and it seems great. One issue, however, is the speed of switching desktops. That is, when you click on a desktop in the desktop preview, or the full screen preview, there is a noticeable delay in the switch. One of dexpot competitors, Goscreen, is able to switch desktops very rapidly. Is there any way to tweak dexpot to speed this up? I imagine it's just something I'd have to live with. Is this on the list of issues to be tackled in dexpot's future?

Searching around, I found that the slowness is related to having different desktop backgrounds in the virtual desktops. Removing the individual backgrounds solves the speed issue. However, having different backgrounds is quite important for virtual desktops, since they let you know which desktop you're on. So - any chance of tackling this speed issue somehow?
