Missing profile *.dxp files

Postby User1622 » 25.05.2009 11:09:56

Hello,

I'm using from a few time Dexpot 1.4.1 build 562 with a great satisfaction.
Now I absolutely need to have a backup of my profile, but I can't find it!
I've read a topic giving the instruction to make a backup, but I have no Dexpot folder under "Documents and Settings" and the Search option doesn't find any .dxp file in my pc.
I add I have Microsoft Windows 2000 and my Dexpot folder is not in the same hard disk partition of the operative system, but in a second partition where I store all my data.

I hope you can help me to solve this problem.
Thanks,
Daniele

Hello,

have a look in the Dexpot folder in Programm files, maybe there you find the profile.

Or the Dexpot folder under "Documents and Settings" is a hidden folder. To view it:
To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:

1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
2. Double-click on the My Computer icon.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. After the new window appears select the View tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
(6. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.)
7. Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
8. Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.

Regards
Schöne Grüße

Thank you very much!

I've allowed the visualization of hidden files and I've found my profile in "Documents and Settings"...

Thanks again,
Daniele
