Problem with Dexpot 1.4 portable

I am trying to run Dexpot portable on Windows XP. I do not have Admin previledge on this system.
The portable.ini file already exists in the ZIP file I downloaded. When I double click on dexpot.exe, I see the splashscreen. It doesn't go away for quite some time, till I clikc on the splash screen itself. The process dexpot.exe is seen as running in the background (Checked using Process Explorer/Task Manager)
But there is no icon in the system tray. Default hotkeys also do not work.

Any ideas/suggestions ?

I know the .manifest file says "requireAdministrator", but isn't that only for Vista ? I'm on XP. I also tried renaming the .manifest file, still doesn't help.

Hi. :dex:

Can you run dexpot.exe with command line switch "-debug" and post the resulting dexpot.log file here?

Hi, :dex:

you're probably missing the SP6 Common Controls. Install this or the setup (non-portable) version of Dexpot.

I Install SP6 for VisualBasic and portable version does not work.
I install nonportable version and work perfect.
I unistall non-portable and I try to make work portable and ... WORK now.

Why it is?

I need to use nonportable version, but in a pc with XP where I haven`t administrator permise, and i cann´t install non-portable version.

Thanks for your job

Oops, I gave you the wrong link.
Here's the correct one: Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Common Controls
You'll still need admin privileges to install this package though.
