Hi!

I have been using Dexpot 1.4 for over 1 year. In general I think it's a great application, but I've had some problems that happen practically every day, so I'm thinking of un-installing it.

When I am typing (both hands on keyboard), Dexpot unexpectedly switches to another desktop when I use the arrow keys or tab key. Most of the times when combined with Ctrl or shift-ctrl, but also happens with arrows only. It also happens with alt-tab.

When this happens, I completely lose the application window for Lotus Organizer. This window doesn't appear at all on the "lost" icons list.

Also, when this happens, Dexpot moves a row of icons I have at the bottom of the screen, immediately above the Windows task bar, to the first space available at the TOP of the screen.

I have configured the hot keys to switch desktops with windows-alt-arrows ONLY. There are no other hot keys enabled.

Please let me know if there is a fix for this.

So... have you had this problem for over a year or did it start only recently?

Does that mean Organizer crashes? Or is the process still running (look in the task manager)?

Please enable the log file (Dexpot settings -> extras) and email dexpot.log to us right after the problem occurs. The file is created in the 'Application Data' folder.

Also, try disabling all Dexpot hotkeys and see if this still happens.

Dexpot uses a lot of shortcuts (hotkeys, key combinations) that supposedly make your day easier. But they are predefined and if you don't use them or even know they exist, then you can have problems like this.

I have disabled all of the hotkeys, accept for switching between two desktops that I use (ALT+F1, ALT+F2) and WIN+Ž for displaying Dexpot menu on windows that doesn't have it.
