Problems running Dexpot with a transparent taskbar in XP Pro

Greetings:
Whenever I try to run Dexpot and either a freestanding taskbar transparency utility or Dexpot's own transparency rule applied to the Taskbar, the programs displayed in the taskbar do not refresh between desktops. Whatever desktop I switch to, the same group of programs stays in the taskbar. I'm running Windows XP Pro.
Has anyone else experienced this, or can anyone suggest a compatible taskbar transparency utility or other solution?
