Dexpot Forum

Hello there everyone.

I want to put some large lettering on each Dexpot screen. However I do NOT want to use the "name" field in Dexpot's Configure Desktops screen.

Instead, I want to use the BGinfo utility from System Internals to change the BMP files which Dexpot uses. But I can't find Dexpot's wallpaper files! Could you tell me where Dexpot stores its wallpaper files?

C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Dexpot

The wallpaper is named "Hintergrund [Profilename]#.bmp". # = Dektopnumber.

Unfortunately I do not have a folder called "Roaming" anywhere on my system. Perhaps this is because you are using a laptop and I am using a desktop PC?

I searched my hard drive for "Hintergrund" but I have no files with that name.

I have 12 Dexpot screens and each one has a different color but there is no image. Maybe a .BMP is not used by Dexpot if there is no image in the wallpaper?

Could someone please advice me.

I'm using Vista. Under XP the Folder is found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Dexpot\

There is no .bmp used if you don't have different wallpaper. You have open the "Configure Desktops"-menu and switch to the background tab. Sent a background image exemplarily and accept the dialogue. By now, there should be a .bmp in the Dexpot folder.
