Move icons using "Desktop Windows" feature of Dexp

Postby Guest - Paul » 16.06.2006 17:44:41

Hi, neet product, hope I get it to work.

I use Dexpot - Desktop Windows - Icons Tab to Move/Copy icons between desktops. Every thing within the Desktop Windows box looks OK. I click on the different desktops and the appropriate Icons are listed.

The problem is that when I close the tool and change desktops, there are no icons on desktops 2, 3, and 4.

I saved my profile. Customized desktop icons is checked in Settings

I'm using XP SP2

Thanks

Paul

Thanks for the reply Nebel,

I read that before I even started. That is where I found the instructions to do it. As far as I can tell, I'm doing it correctly. From inside the tool, I can click on each desktop and the appropriate icons are listed, however, when I actually go to the desktop, #2 e.g., there are no visible icons. As far as I can tell, I've done things correctly using the tool provided by Dexpot.

I saved the profile orriginally as Paul

Thanks again

You didn't accidently hide the icons in Configure Desktops -> Tools, did you?

What happens when you right-click on Desktop 2? Can you manually create new files? Do they show up as icons?

There is no response from a rt click. Mouse pointer moves around and I can rt click in the task bar, but not the desktop
