ORIGINAL WINDOWS DESKTOP ICONS GONE

Hello,

The icons from my original windows desktop no longer there.

this is what I did:
I launched dexpot moved some icons from desktop 1 to desktop 2 then moved some others form desktop 1 to desktop 3
while running Dexpot all looks good I also configured the desktops to have their own folder.

when I exit Dexpot I was expecting to see the desktop on the original windows in the condition before I used Dexpot - I thought that when Dexpot is not running your desktop reverts to the layout it was in before

what did I miss??

By default, Dexpot uses the original Windows desktop as Desktop 1. So when you move stuff off Desktop 1, it's also removed from the Windows desktop. If you don't want this behavior, go to "Settings > Switching Desktops > Desktop elements > Desktop icons > Advanced" and disable the option "Use original Windows desktop folder as Desktop 1". Note that the new Desktop 1 will be empty, so you may have to copy things manually from the original Windows desktop, if you also want to have it on virtual desktop 1.
