popups don't stay in their Desktops and workspace

Postby alcymart » 12.12.2013 08:15:30

I have been looking all around for a solution to no avail. I am running an autosurf in Firefox which sometimes give out popups. The problem is that they popup in Desktop 2 while I'm working in there. Can't Dexpot keep Firefox popups where they belong in its own workspace??

You can use "Assign applications" to bind Firefox to a specific desktop. If the popup windows all have similar window titles you could also use a desktop rule to move them back to another desktop, or even close them.

Would be great if it was so easy, sure it moves the window but for a fraction of a second it did appear on all desktops and took the focus out of other windows. How do we tell Dexpot to completely disable any windows from even showing on other desktops from the root?

Picture a delayed popup window coming from Chrome browser while I am working on another desktop is best way I can describe this issue. Only Chrome does this and makes me lose focus on the window I am working on in Firefox. If I switch around with Firefox with delayed popup, the window doesn't even appear just like it should and everything is fine, but I want to use Firefox as default browser and leave Chrome with its popups on its own desktop.

The freeware Desktops by Mr Russinovich does not do such thing, so I presume Dexpot can be configured the same but how? Is this issue by design?
