Attempt to pull a window from another cell to current - fail

I have an application (written in Smalltalk) which opens a number (5, 6, ...) of windows. Sometimes one will open while I am in another cell, and it opens in that cell -- which is OK with me.

However, in the main cell of these windows I have a button which is supposed to drag all of its related windows back to the main cell (this works on other virtual desktops that I use).

What happens is that it looks at the window origin and its off-screen (which it is) and tries to update the window's origin to be within the current cell.

This ends up with the window showing in BOTH cells, the one it opened in and the one I am in now where I tried to move the window to.

Is there any simple solution to this??

Try using "Assign applications" to keep all the windows together on one desktop.
