Vanishing wallpapers

Windows 8: The standard wallpapers are replaced with a monochrome screen when using Dexpot.
I can reestablish the wallpapers (using Windows 'Personalization' option) while in the session, but the monochrome screen returns when I change to a different screen.
The monochrome sceen remains after exiting Dexpot until I reestablish the Windows wallpapers.

Any suggestions?

please disable 'Settings > Switching Desktops > Customize background'.
