Desktop icons can't be permanently removed from a desktop

Im on Dexpot 1.5. So what I do is I keep trying to remove my desktop icons in my first desktop which I named "Dashboard" through 'Desktop Windows> Dashboard> Icons> (right click icon)> 'remove'' so it works for as long as i run it... But once I close it and restart it, the icons come back in my "Dashboard" desktop and it even shows in Desktop Windows that those icons are there... So which means I have to remove them again...

So can anyone PLEASE help me remove these icons PERMANENTLY???

Oh and i know that a lot of people's solution was to upgrade to Dexpot 1.6 Beta but just saying that THAT is not an option for me because im running on an old Windows Vista laptop which pop-ups an error everytime I switch desktops with Dexpot 1.6

What's the name of the icon?
Can you please provide the build no. of Dexpot?

Im on Dexpot 1.5. The icons actually are my internal hard drives that i renamed "Macintosh HD" and "Macintosh HD 2" and if i add any other icons... they still have the same problem (they are removed until i restart Dexpot, in which of course, they come back)

Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of the error and I'm not willing to upgrade to 1.6 just to screenshot it because it causes my windows explorer to crash which takes up much time to restore

well, we already know that. I was looking for the build number (see main menu > 'About').
