Incompatibility with Windows visual styles?

Running windows 7 64 bit home premium
dexpot 1.5.8 (the one that released on december 15)

Hi there,
So for the past day and half i've been messing with various windows visual styles, in particular leos revenge and gaia 10 but this problem is recurrent among all styles, and i've been having this weird..."glitch" so to say.

Once i switch to a visual style, the dexcube does not scroll smoothly between them, but ONLY from or to desktop 1. Which means my desktops 2-4 can scroll between each other perfectly smoothly, but the moment they try to switch to desktop 1, it will freeze up for the 200 ms, and then take you there. I suppose they may be more of a problem with dexcube potentially? i'm not sure.

However, Resetting the visual style back to the windows default aero, then it works like a charm. Perfectly smooth and no lag between the desktops.

I am unsure what is causing this and how i might go about fixing this.

I have used the tool provided with leos revenge and patched the uxtheme.dll and 2 other files.
I however have not replaced the explorerframe because it breaks my navigation pane (And the frame should not have any pertinance to how dexcube scrolls between desktops)

My hunch is that this is relevant to how the Aero style handles itself...i'm just not sure in what way.

ps: I have also tried switching visual styles, and THEN reinstalling dexpot but the problem persisted. I have also tried uninstalling all of them, and installing dexpot and then the visual style.
