Hello,
Installed Dexpot.
Moved things around between Windows and used for about 24 hours, including a couple of hibernates.
Double clicked the tray icon and got the full-screen preview. Clicked escape.
The Tray icon disappeared and all the running apps moved to Window 1. The Superbar Icon was still there and I could jump between windows fine, but everything remained in Window 1.
Exited Dexpot, and was asked what to do with the open applications. Chose to move them to Window 1 (where they were anyway).
All applications disappeared. Appears to be nothing running.
Re-started Dexpot, and still no apps running
Looked at task manager and see that all apps are running (chrome, securecrt, etc), but none display
I can't figure a way to get my running apps back. Guess I'll play a bit more than restart.
Any idea of what this is and if there is a way to reset and bring all windows to the screen?
Thanks,
Bill

Re: all running windows disappeard
Sorry, should have mentioned:
this is running on Windows 7 with version 1.5.7 Build 1394 (latest) of Dexpot
I tried reproducing, but have been unable to.

Re: all running windows disappeard
a new problem, perhaps related:
I hit <Windows key>, then chose chrome, hit enter. A chrome window should have shown up, but didn't. repeated, same problem.
Thought that maybe the windows showed up in the last screen I was on, so switched to that one. The windows could be seen by hovering over the chrome icon in the super bar, but couldn't be brought to the screen. However, I could choose them in the super bar, and hit Alt-F4, and they would then not be seen by hovering in the super bar.
Then I switched to another chrome window and noticed it couldn't be seen on the screen. I figured since Alt-F4 could close invisible windows, maybe I could move an invisible window between desktops using the Dexpot hotkey and sure enough, it would. however, even though it would be moved to another virtual desktop, it could not be brought to the screen.
So, I've run into two issues where apps disappear and are still running and cannot be brought back to the screen. Is there a way to force something to surface to the screen? I'm afraid this has happened twice in two days now.

Re: all running windows disappeard

To get your Chrome windows back: Right-click a window's preview thumbnail in the taskbar, click Move, press one of the arrow keys on your keyboard, and then move the mouse cursor around.

Re: all running windows disappeard
Thanks, Patrick. I'll give that a try if I run into that situation again.
