applications switching desktops on update

I have an annoying problem with Dexpot (latest version, XP Sp3, 32-bit).

Mathematica (MMA) can happily run on a desktop while I'm looking at another. However, when it updates its current document, MMA will change that document to the current desktop and keep it there as well as on its original desktop.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Is there a simple fix? What about a complicated one?

You could try a different setting for the behavior of windows on other desktops option. That's in the Dexpot Settings under Plugin and Extras.
