IE 8 and 9 switching when on top

I've been having a random problem lately. Whenever ie is the active program on my screen, if I switch desktops it jumps over to it. Then if I want to send it back to the previous desktop, I have to click on another program then on ie, then alt-shift-#. After that, there is a non-functional "ghost" icon in the superbar.This happens all the time now and it's only with ie 8 and now the ie 9 beta.

Is anyone having this problem as well?

I'm having this same problem as well. Also happening to Outlook 2010. I thought this was a setting somewhere since this wasn't happening with the previous build but changing all sorts of settings didn't change this behavior.

Did you install the IE9 beta too?

This was happening before I installed the IE9 beta. When IE jumps to screen 1 I can't alt-shift it to screen 4. I have to click on another open program then click on IE to send it back. Once I do that, I am stuck with an IE logo on the superbar in screen 1 and when I mouse over it shows the right number of open tabs but they are all blank and clicking on them does nothing. Once I close IE the whole thing goes away.
