Desktop Rule for Superbar Button?

I have been using VirtuaWin for the last week or so, and there is one feature that I absolutely love that I can't seem to replicate in Dexpot.

In VirtuaWin, I am able to create a Window Rule for my chat program (Digsby) to make the taskbar button show across all desktops. This way, I can always see if someone is typing or if there is an unread IM waiting for me. The chat window is only visible on its current desktop, but its superbar icon remains across all desktops.

Is there any way for me to accomplish this in Dexpot via Desktop Rules?

Wouldn't copying the window to all desktops and then minimizing it have a similar effect?

I suppose copying the window and then minimizing it would be an inelegant solution, but would it be possible in future updates to include a window rule show showing or hiding the taskbar button like in VirtuaWin? The good thing about having that option, rather than copying the window, is that the taskbar button will still be tied to the window on another desktop.

When I get home I will try your suggestion and see how well it works for me. I will post my thoughts on here.

Actually, I just thought of something. Stop me if this is stupid:

VirtuaWin is open-source, right? So would you be able to take a peek to see how they accomplish the "show taskbar button" option in their Window Rules and implement it into Dexpot?

Rather about how-useful-to-most-users.

Okay, cool. It might not be useful to everyone, but I think there are quite a few people out there who would like to have chat programs stay in the superbar. Just an additional window rule would be enough to provide this functionality. Thanks again for considering it.

I have to admit that for chat programs this would be useful but not completely the end of the world as having an audio que or some similar popup can remedy the situation.

There is little dexpot does wrong, i think the dev's will give it some serious thought.
