Shortcut to move window to a desktop and switch to it?

Postby vadz » 29.01.2010 15:41:29

Hello,

I've just started using Dexpot yesterday and so might be missing something obvious but I wasn't able to find any way to move a window to another desktop and switch to this desktop using a single key combination, is this possible? I.e. I currently have Alt-N mapped to switch to N-th desktop and Alt-Shift-N to move a window to N-th desktop, but I'd like Alt-Shift-N to both move the active window to N-th desktop and switch to it.

Thanks in advance for any hints!

:dex:,

not implemented.

Try this: click and hold your left mouse button on the window's title bar you want to move. While you hold, change your desktop via the switch-desktop hotkey.

Thanks, this kind of works but the window may be hidden because of the changes in Z-order on the target desktop. I'd also prefer to avoid using the mouse if possible.

But in any case thanks for your reply, at least I can stop searching for it in the options now!

And thanks for writing this program, even though it's not perfect (lack of support for independently switching the virtual desktop on each of the physical monitors if probably my biggest regret) it definitely does help a lot, thanks again!
